Jamshedpur, Aug. 3: Two months training on computer orientation for the first batch of Person with Visual Impairment concluded at SABAL Centre, Jamshedpur.
A total of 12 candidates for orientation to computer training and 15 android workshop training were held during the period. The training was started on June 6.
The candidates were felicitated with certificates with braille inscription by Prashant Kumar, Company Secretary, JCAPCPL and Radhika Singh, AGM (HRM&A), JCAPCPL during the valedictory function on August 2.
The training not only looked upon the aspect of typing and keyboard orientation to Person with visual impairment but also touched upon the features of screen reader and fundamentals of internet including browsing, mailing and online library for the education of these candidates. Furthermore, the training followed a holistic approach towards the capacity building of these candidates through conducting mobility training, orienting them to signature and workshop on assistive devices.
