Jamshedpur: A delegation of plastic manufacturers and traders united under the banner of Jharkhand Disposal and Packaging Association met state Health Minister Banna Gupta at his residence in Ranchi on Tuesday and discussed issues pertaining to ban on single use plastic.
The outfit president Kunal Vijayvargiya and others apprised the Minister of the various difficulties that would be faced by them in case the ban on single use plastic is strictly implemented. They said either the government should remove the ban or provide an alternative to single use plastics. Gupta assured the traders that he would communicate their demands to the state and Central governments.
