Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum is on high alert as the district prepares for the Municipal General Elections 2026 on February 23. District Election Officer Karn Satyarthi has finalized a rigorous security and logistics plan to ensure transparent polling and counting.
Strict Access Control
The administration has issued a firm directive regarding traffic management. Only candidates and authorized agents may park vehicles at designated zones near receiving and counting centers. Officials have urged the public to avoid these high-security areas to prevent congestion.
Polling Teams Dispatched
The dispatch of polling parties is currently underway from the Golmuri and Jugsalai block complexes. Teams serving the following regions have been systematically deployed with ballot boxes:

During a personal inspection of the dispatch centers, Karn Satyarthi emphasized precision and accountability. He instructed all personnel to strictly follow State Election Commission guidelines, warning that any lapses in handling sensitive materials will face immediate action.
With the 82-km high-speed corridor and other infrastructure projects often in the news, the district focuses its energy on this democratic exercise. Following the vote on Monday, the final stage of the process concludes with the counting of votes on February 27.
