Jamshedpur man hangs self to death after court appearance

Jamshedpur, June 21: One Minvay Pal, resident of Zone No 6, committed suicide by hanging self to death on Tuesday, sources said.

Sources said Minvay locked himself in his rented house after appearing in a case lodged against him two years ago and hung self to death from the ceiling of his room. Minvay was accused of assault in the case. After appearing in the court, he went home directly and took the extreme step, sources said.

The deceased was a driver. His father Gopal Pal said he did not know as to what happened in the court today. He said his son was facing financial problems for the last several days.

Minvay was taken to MGM Hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead. Police have registered a case of unnatural death in this connection. They sent the body to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination. They said they have not ruled out foul play in the incident.
