Jamshedpur, May 2: Traya Jawahar, a class 12 student of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) has brought laurels to the school by getting selected for AFS Global STEM Accelerators scholarship program 2023.
AFS Global STEM Accelerators is an extraordinary, full scholarship program for girls who are active global citizens and energized to help solve some of today’s biggest global challenge.
Sharing her experience, Traya said, “I had put in considerable effort for this scholarship and I delighted to have been selected. At the same time, I felt immensely thankful to my parents, my teacher Ashish Kapoor, who recommended me for this scholarship program and my Principal Ashu Tiwary for motivating me.”
Traya informed that in this program, the 180 winners will make a prototype which will be checked by the University of Pennsylvania.
Scholarship winners will participate in 12 week all virtual program, which will enrich their STEM knowledge and skills through interactive, hands on curriculum, while developing global competencies, including analytical skills, intercultural understanding and the ability to build bridges across cultures.
