Jamshedpur: Fire breaks out in Mango house

Jamshedpur: Fire broke out in a thatched house at Daiguttu Dhobi Line in Mango on Monday. Many household articles kept inside were gutted in the fire, sources said.

According to sources, Ravi Mahato was in his house at the time of the mishap while other members of his family had gone to see Ramnavami procession. On seeing flames erupting in his house, Ravi somehow managed to escape outside and informed the fire department. By the time a fire tender reached the spot, the flames had engulfed most of the household articles.

Ravi, a physically challenged person, said his entire house was destroyed in the fire. He said he runs a snacks corner for a living. He demanded compensation from the administration to rebuild his house.
