Jamshedpur: Soaring temperature continued to torment the people on Tuesday. The impact of the inclement weather was clearly felt in Patamada today as a class VII student of Bankuchia Middle School fell sick due to heatstroke. The boy, Dev Mahato, felt uneasy and exhausted during tiffin break. He was immediately sent to a doctor and thereafter sent home by the school authorities. The school teachers said the boy’s condition deteriorated due to excessive heat. The child’s parents were informed about the incident, he said.
Local villagers demanded a change in school timing. They said the state government should immediately change the school timing or order online classes for all students.
