Jamshedpur DDC expresses displeasure over slow pace of work

Jamshedpur, June 20: Manish Kumar, the Deputy Development Commissioner and senior in-charge of Potka in East Singhbhum district, visited the Potka block to review the progress of development schemes. During his visit, the Deputy Development Commissioner held a detailed review meeting with the Block Development Officer and officers from various departments in the block auditorium.

Expressing great displeasure over the sluggish performance of the block in almost all development schemes, Manish Kumar emphasized the need to bring the block to the forefront within a month. He highlighted that the poor performance of Potka block negatively impacts the district’s overall standing at the state level, revealing a clear lack of dedication and commitment among officials and workers towards their responsibilities. He warned that officials and personnel should improve their working style, or else action would be taken to hold them accountable.

To ensure improved performance, Manish Kumar announced that a report would be required from the block every 15 days. Additionally, three individuals demonstrating exceptional work would be honored with the rank of Deputy Development Commissioner, while those who perform poorly would face appropriate consequences. He urged officers and personnel to regularly visit the field, engage with villagers, and ensure the effective implementation of government schemes. He also emphasized conducting virtual meetings to monitor personnel presence in the field.

Furthermore, Manish Kumar issued instructions to expedite the dedication of various government assets in the block area, such as ponds, Anganwadi centers, PM residences, Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar residences, primary health centers, schools, hostels, community halls, and government buildings. He directed that all dedications should include photographs and be completed within two days. The meeting was attended by key officials, including Zonal Officer Imtiad Ahmed, BAHO Dr. Ashok Kumar, BCEO Arun Kumar Sinha, BEEO Anil Kumar Sinha, BPRO Akhtar Hussain, BC Soni Kumari, BC Kanuram Murmu, BPO Abhishek Shah, Mangal Mahato, AE Arivand Hembram, BPM Mantu Munda, among others.
