Jamshedpur Rath Yatra spreads messages of communal peace and harmony

Jamshedpur: The city witnessed an atmosphere of joyous celebration as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and various social organisations celebrated Rath Yatra with immense zeal and religious fervour. The grand procession, covering a distance of approximately 4 kilometers, commenced from Bistupur Ram Mandir and culminated at Dhalbhum Club in Sakchi, captivating the hearts of thousands of devotees and onlookers.

The Rath Yatra, also known as the Chariot Festival, holds great significance in Hindu culture, symbolizing the journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra to their aunt’s residence, the Gundicha Temple.

This annual event serves as a unifying force, bringing people from different walks of life together to celebrate their shared spiritual heritage.

The festivities began with elaborate preparations and decorations, as the beautifully adorned chariot carrying the deities stood as the centerpiece of the procession.
