Jamshedpur Crime: Three mobile phone snatchers arrested

Jamshedpur, May 25: Police arrested three members of a gang of looters in a series of raids across the city. Those arrested were identified as Nandan Patnayak, Shubham Kumar and Aditya Kumar Tiwary, all local residents.

Cops seized six mobile phones, oen gold chain and a motorcycle allegedly looted by the accused persons.

According to Vishnu Prasad Raut, officer in-charge of Bistupur PS, the accused trio had looted a mobile phone from one Vishnu Kumar of Sonari Gwala Basti near Jubilee Park recently. “All three have a criminal past. They have looted mobile phones, gold chains and purse from people at different places in the city so far and they have been jailed earlier in several cases.”

Raut said the SSP had set up a team to track down the looters. The team is working on tip-off to nab more culprits involved in loot crimes, he said.
