Jamshedpur, August 1: A theft accused, identified as Ankit Yadav, escaped from police custody on Monday, sources said.
According to police, Yadav was kept in the lock-up at Burmamines police station in connection with a theft case. Yadav was arrested on Sunday and brought to the police station for questioning. This morning, he sought permission to go to toilet and escaped by scaling the walls of the police station.
Cops said raids were on to nab the accused.
