Jamshedpur Crime: Theft accused arrested from Golmuri

Jamshedpur, August 1: A police team from Odisha arrested one Satnam Kashmir Singh from Golmuri in connection with a theft of ornaments belonging to Rohit Kumar, resident of New Development Area, Golmuri.

Sources said the accused was arrested following a theft case registered by the Sea Beach police station in Puri district of Odisha. As per the complaint, Rohit Kumar had gone to Puri to attend his brother’s wedding on 12^th July last. Rohit stayed at a hotel and also booked a cab whose driver was none other than the accused Satnam Kashmir Singh. Rohit had purchased a gold chain and bracelet for his sister. On 13^th July, he found the ornaments missing from his bag and lodged a police complaint subsequently.

Police suspect the ornaments were stolen by Satnam. They said they would be interrogating the accused in connection with the theft after taking him to Odisha.
