Jamshedpur, September 21: The verdict was to be pronounced in Jamshedpur court on Thursday in the case of two members of Amlesh Singh gang, brother of gangster Akhilesh Singh, who were arrested with a pistol and live bullet in 2016 in front of Bara Company Gate of Sidgora police station area of Jamshedpur.
But due to the absence of two accused in the case, Jyoti Prakash and Lalit alias Surya, the court postponed the decision and issued arrest warrants against both of them. Other accused in the case Amlesh Singh, Maninder Singh, Binod Singh and Satyendra Singh were present in the court.
This case is being heard by the court of ADJ-4 Rajendra Kumar Sinha of Jamshedpur Court.
A total of six people have testified in this case. In the year 2016, the then station in-charge of Sidgora police station Raj Dev Singh had arrested Jyoti Prakash and Lalit alias Surya under suspicion in front of Bara Company Gate with illegal pistol and live bullet.
On the confession statement of both the accused, the involvement of Amlesh Singh and others in extorting extortion money from truck drivers in the name of Amlesh Singh was also revealed. Police had arrested Amlesh Singh, Satyendra Singh, Binod Singh, Maninder Singh, Jyoti Prakash and Lalit alias Surya in the case and sent them to jail.
