Jamshedpur, April 25: A two-member delegation from the Bharat Scouts and Guides, East Singhbhum, met newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan at the District Collectorate on Saturday.
The delegation was led by District Organizing Commissioner Naresh Kumar. As per Scouts and Guides tradition, the Deputy Commissioner was felicitated with a scarf and a bouquet as a mark of respect.
During the meeting, the delegation submitted a formal request letter, seeking his consent to take charge as the Chief Patron of the East Singhbhum District Scouts and Guides.
District Commissioner of the Cubs Wing Shyam Sharma briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the organisation’s activities, achievements, and ongoing initiatives in the district. He also highlighted some of the challenges faced by the group in carrying out its programmes.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the Scouts and Guides and assured support for their future activities in the district.
