With this result, Jamshedpur FC climb to fourth position in the table, now just two points behind league leaders Mohun Bagan Super Giant, reigniting their push in a tightly contested title race.

Jamshedpur started with clear intent, their urgency visible in every move as they played with a purpose to make amends, and their high intensity consistently troubled the visitors.

Owen Coyle made three changes to the starting XI, bringing in Sarthak Golui, Madih Talal and Rosenberg, while also switching Nikhil Barla to left-back, a move that paid immediate dividends as he provided two assists and played a key role in Jamshedpur’s win.

The match started with the heroics of Albino Gomes as he pulled off a crucial point-blank save in the second minute of the game. That early moment proved significant as Jamshedpur quickly took control of proceedings.

Breakthrough for Jamshedpur arrived in the 6th minute through a moment of intelligence and sharp finishing. A cross into the box saw Messi Bouli cleverly dummy the ball, allowing it to run into the path of an unmarked Mohammed Sanan, who unleashed a stunning strike to give Jamshedpur an early lead.

Buoyed by the goal, the Men of Steel continued to press forward with purpose. Madih Talal was influential in midfield, testing the goalkeeper with a couple of efforts, while Nikola came close with a low strike that narrowly missed the target. The attacking intent paid off again when Nikhil Barla delivered a floated cross that was met perfectly by Messi Bouli, doubling the advantage and capping off a dominant first half.

The second half began in a similar vein to the first, with Albino Gomes once again called into action. The goalkeeper produced another sharp point-blank save early after the restart.

Jamshedpur regained the momentum soon  and the third goal arrived just before the hour mark, once again involving Sanan. A well-directed header from Messi Bouli released him in behind, and the winger showed pace and composure to outrun the defence and finish confidently, making it 3-0 and effectively putting the game beyond reach.

Chennaiyin FC pulled one back in the 70th minute through Prakadeshvaran, who curled in a fine effort to reduce the deficit. However, any hopes of a comeback were short-lived as Jamshedpur responded in style in the 78th minute.

Barla once again played a key role, delivering a precise pull-back that was met by Nikola, who marked his impact with a composed finish into the far corner with his very first touch, restoring the three-goal cushion.

It was a performance that underlined the team’s attacking quality and resilience. After a run of difficult results, this emphatic victory not only brings three crucial points but also restores belief as the Men of Steel look to build momentum in the decisive phase of the season.

Jamshedpur will face Goa in another high-flying clash at the Furnace on May 1st at 7.30 PM.
