Jamshedpur: The legal fraternity of Jamshedpur was plunged into deep grief following the sudden demise of senior advocate Meer Sajjad, who passed away on Friday, while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bhubaneswar.

He was 65 years old and was a resident of Makdumpur under the Parsudih police station area. As news of his passing spread, a pall of gloom descended over the Jamshedpur District Bar Association.
Members of the Bar described the late advocate as a soft-spoken, humble, and highly respected professional who earned admiration for both his conduct and commitment to the legal profession.
Expressing condolences, Jharkhand State Bar Council Vice Chairman Rajesh Kumar Shukla visited Jamshedpur and met with local advocates to share in their grief. He recalled Meer Sajjad as a person of gentle nature and strong ethical values, whose loss would be deeply felt within the legal community.
A condolence meeting was attended by several senior and junior advocates. The members observed a solemn tribute and offered heartfelt condolences. As a mark of respect to the departed soul, advocates of the Jamshedpur District Bar Association refrained from work during the second session of the day, standing united in remembrance of a colleague whose humility and dedication left a lasting imprint on the Bar.
