Jamshedpur, June 19: The culvert built by the Jugsalai Nagar Parishad at Gaurishankar Road in Jugsalai is proving fatal for the people these days. People are constantly falling victim to road accidents. Not only this, it is also difficult for the people to pass through this road during the rainy season.
A protest was organized on Monday by AJSU Party Jugsalai unit regarding all these problems. The demonstration was led by AJSU Party’s Jugsalai president Raju Tanveer.
Jugsalai Nagar Parishad was accused of commission and illegal recovery.
The AJSU leaders alleged that four to five roads of Jugsalai meet from this place. About 10 to 20 thousand population passes through this place daily. The way the culvert has been constructed by the Jugsalai Nagar Parishad, it is inviting accidents.
“Due to this culvert, drainage of water is also not being done properly, which is inviting diseases. Along with this, the entire area gets submerged during the rainy season. People cannot pass through this place,” said Tanveer.
