Jamshedpur: In preparation for the successful, fair, and malpractice-free conduct of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2025 on May 4, a high-level meeting was convened at the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur under the joint chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal.
This year, the NEET exam in East Singhbhum district will be held across eight centers spread over five educational institutions, with 3810 candidates expected to appear. The examination will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM, with entry into the centers allowed from 11 AM and strictly closing at 1:30 PM.
During the meeting, Ananya Mittal emphasized that ensuring the fairness, transparency, and integrity of the NEET examination is a top priority for the district administration. He directed officials to implement stringent measures, including:Installation of CCTV cameras and continuous monitoring at all centers, Strict identity verification at entry points, Enforcement of Section 144 within the examination premises, Availability of medical and emergency services, Setting up help desks and clear information boards for the convenience of candidates.
The Deputy Commissioner warned that no negligence would be tolerated, and instructed administrative and police officials to maintain vigilant patrolling around examination centers to monitor any suspicious activities. He stressed on timely reporting, smooth crowd control, confidentiality of examination materials, and emergency preparedness. “We must ensure that candidates do not face any inconvenience and that the examination is conducted peacefully and flawlessly,” he added.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal informed that adequate deployment of police forces will be made at each center. Control rooms will be established not only at the district level but also at individual centers. Candidates will be allowed to enter centers only with valid admit cards and photographs, and will be prohibited from carrying electronic devices, stationery, jewelry, or any unauthorized items. He also instructed Deputy Superintendents of Police to inspect hotels, restaurants, and lodging facilities to prevent any malpractice or irregularity.
The meeting was attended by ADM Law and Order Aniket Sachan, SDM Dhalbhum Shatabdi Majumdar, City SP Kumar Shivashish, ACMO Jogeshwar Prasad, District Public Relations Officer Panchanan Oraon, DIO Kishore Prasad, CO Mango Brajesh Srivastava, DEO Manoj Kumar, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Center Superintendents, and other concerned administrative and police officials.
