Jamshedpur: The Rotaract Club of Jamshedpur Humanitarians successfully organized “Brain Wars” — an Inter-School Debate Championship at Sidhu Kanhu Siksha Niketan, Mango, for students of classes 9 and 10 from various schools across the city. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and was a grand celebration of intellect, communication, and leadership.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the spread of knowledge. Harshikha warmly welcomed the dignitaries, including Chief Guest Consultant Psychologist Preeti Saini, Guest of Honors Rtn. Damini Upadhyay and ZRR Prashant Kumar, Principal Subrata Gorai, teachers, and students.
In his address, Principal Subrata Gorai expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Rotaract Club for providing students with a platform to enhance their skills beyond academics.
The competition was meticulously divided into three engaging rounds, designed to test general awareness, communication abilities, and leadership skills. Participants impressed the audience and judges alike with their articulate arguments and confident presentation.
Speaking to the gathering, Preeti Saini, Damini Upadhyay, and Prashant Kumar motivated the young participants to embrace healthy competition and foster camaraderie among peers. They emphasized the importance of communication and leadership skills in shaping the future careers and personalities of students.
At the end of a tough and exciting contest: Komal Sharma from South Point School clinched the first prize, Nikita Kumari from St. Mary’s Hindi School was declared the second prize winner.
Study kits and prizes, generously sponsored by JRG Bank, were awarded to the winners, further encouraging the young achievers.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Milanpreet Kaur, acknowledging the efforts of students, teachers, guests, and sponsors.
The overwhelming response from students and the impact of the event led Principal Gorai to request for more such regular initiatives to nurture holistic development among students.
