Ranchi/Jamshedpur, Sept 10: Preparations are underway in Jharkhand for the arrival of the Jagriti Yatra, dedicated to the 350th martyrdom day of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The Yatra will begin from Takht Shri Harmandir Ji, Patna Sahib, on September 17 and is scheduled to reach Jamshedpur on September 24.
A special meeting regarding the Yatra was held on Tuesday at Main Road Gurudwara in Ranchi. The meeting was chaired by Sardar Bhagwan Singh, President of the Central Gurudwara Managing Committee (CGPC). Heads of all major Gurudwaras of Jharkhand, along with representatives of 22 Gurudwaras from Jamshedpur, took part in the discussions.

During the meeting, Sardar Indrajit Singh, General Secretary of Takht Shri Harmandir Ji, Patna Sahib, and Jasbir Singh Dham addressed the gathering and explained the details of the Jagriti Yatra to the Sangat. They assured that all suggestions received from the Sangat would be duly considered and implemented.
Speaking on the occasion, CGPC President Bhagwan Singh said the Yatra will halt in Jamshedpur on September 24 and 25. From there, it will proceed to Bhubaneswar in Odisha on September 26. He added that a detailed route chart of the Yatra will be released soon after the next meeting of the Central Gurudwara Managing Committee.
Prominent Sikh leaders and officials present at the Ranchi meeting included Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh, Gurmeet Singh Tote, Sukhdev Singh Khalsa (President, Dharm Prachar Committee Akali Dal), Vice President Ravinder Singh, General Secretary Guru Charan Singh Billa, Amarjit Singh, Chanchal Singh, Joginder Singh Jogi, Treasurer Gurnam Singh Bedi, Advisor Parvinder Singh Sohal, Surjit Singh Khushipur, Sukhwinder Singh Raju, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, Harwinder Singh Mantu, Lakhwinder Singh, Guru Charan Singh Titu, Satvir Singh, Rocky Singh, Malkit Singh, Narendra Singh, Ajit Singh Gill, Surendra Shinde, Ajit Gambhir, Sadhu Singh, Giani Kuldeep Singh, Amrik Singh, Harjit Singh, SP Kale, Bunty Singh, Harbhajan Singh Pappu, Jasbir Singh Gill, and many other officials and followers.
The upcoming Yatra is expected to draw large participation of devotees from across Jharkhand, reflecting the community’s reverence and gratitude towards Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s supreme sacrifice for faith and humanity.
