Jamshedpur, July 3: Jamshedpur FC’s Durand Cup 2026 campaign will begin on July 26 when the Men of Steel take on Sri Lankan side Defenders FC in their opening Group C fixture of the 135th Durand Cup at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi. The match is scheduled to kick off at 5 PM.
The Durand Cup organisers on Friday announced the fixtures for the prestigious tournament, with Jamshedpur FC set to play all three of their group-stage matches in Ranchi. The Men of Steel have been drawn alongside Defenders FC, Sporting Club Delhi and Indian Air Force Football Team in Group C.
Jamshedpur FC’s second group match will be against Sporting Club Delhi on August 4 at 4 PM before they conclude their Group C campaign against Indian Air Force Football Team on August 13, also at 4 PM.
The 135th edition of Asia’s oldest football tournament will be held from July 25 to August 23 across five host cities, with the top team from each group and the two best second-placed teams progressing to the knockout stage. Ranchi is hosting Durand Cup matches for the first time, adding another significant milestone for football in Jharkhand.
The matches will be live on Sony Sports Network.
