Infant burnt in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 27: Umesh Chandra Murmu, a 3-year-old son of former mukhiya Jiten Murmu, a resident of Jamdih village in Patmada block of East Singhbhum district, got burnt when boiling water fell on his body.

The incident is being told about 10 am on Thursday morning. After the incident, the relatives took him to MGM Hospital for immediate treatment where he was treated.

The incident took place when the child’s mother had put water in an utensil on the stove to cook food in her house. A child playing in the house by mistake caught hold of the utensil and the boiling water burnt one hand and other parts of the body.
