Seraikela: Independence Day will be celebrated with pomp and fanfare at the Birsa Munda Stadium in Seraikela. Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration has made elaborate preparations in this connection.
Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan and Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha jointly conducted inspection of the rehearsal parade at the stadium and also took stock of the security arrangements.
The DC praised the students participating in the parade and gave them tips to improve their performance. The parade rehearsal was led by Major Khushilal Mahato.
The rehearsal had started on 10th August. The students of various government schools also participated in the parade along with paramilitary jawans, homeguards and district police personnel.
Among others present during the inspection included DDC Suresh Kumar Dudani, DRDA director Anita Sahay and other officials.
