Control Command Centre to monitor
Jamshedpur, Sep 6: The district administration is working on a plan to install more CCTV cameras for the safety of the common citizen and for monitoring unwanted activities and maintenance of law and order in the city.
In this sequence, a meeting was held in the NIC room of the district headquarters in which SDO Dhalbhum Sandeep Kumar Meena, ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal, JNAC Special Officer Sanjay Kumar, Jugsalai Municipality Executive Officer Jagdish Yadav, Mango Notified Area Committee Executive Officer Suresh Yadav, DSP CCR Animesh Gupta, DIO Kishor Prasad, Tata Steel’s Amit Singh attended. In this meeting the representatives of Vehant agency were apprised about the various technical aspects of CCTV installation through a presentation.
The district administration plans to install CCTV cameras from the Integrated Control Command Centre at the squares and major places of the city for security and law and order and control of vehicles so that criminals and people can be identified at the time of accident.

“Apart from this, CCTV cameras that recognise the number plates of vehicles will also be installed to take action against those violating traffic rules and modifying the silencer. Under the Integrated Traffic Management System, CCTV cameras installed on major roads and intersections of the city will be interconnected. It will also be monitored from the Control Command Centre. In such a situation, if there is a traffic jam situation at any intersection, then the team sitting in this control room will know and traffic can also be diverted through the traffic police,” said an official.
Presentation has just been given by the organisation, taking necessary steps according to the importance of the project, further necessary action will be taken. For the implementation of this scheme optical fiber is to be laid, for which a meeting will be held soon with their representatives for necessary cooperation from BSNL and Airtel company and while making an action plan, it will be the effort of the district administration to take this proposal on the ground as soon as possible.
“It will identify certain data and then analyse it for the administration that can accordingly take corrective steps. It can analyse a particular disease that has broken out in a certain area,” he said. ICCC uses its data to understand trends and patterns and forecast an event or incident for the citizens and the government. “A primary objective here is to enhance the safety and security, improve efficiency of municipal services and promote better quality of life for the residents,” he added.
