Karim City College: Experts focus on New Education Policy 

Jamshedpur, Sep 6: A one-day workshop on ‘NEP 2020: A Visionary Roadmap towards Transforming Indian Education Focused on Science, Technology, Research and Skill Development’ was organised by the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Commerce, Karim City College, Jamshedpur in Association with the National Academy of Sciences, India (Jharkhand Chapter).

The workshop was conducted in four consecutive sessions, the inaugural session was followed by two technical sessions and a valedictory session. The inaugural session began with a welcome address by principal, Karim City College Mohammad Reyaz . Convenor of the workshop Dr Md Moazzam Nazri, who introduced the topic of the workshop, chairman National Academy of Sciences, India (Jharkhand Chapter) Dr.Arvind Sinha, who delivered his views about the workshop.

Dr. I Chattoraj, director of CSIR-NML Jamshedpur was the Chief Guest in the Inaugural Session and Dr. Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Director of National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur was the chief guest in Valedictory Session.

The topic of the Workshop was divided into five parts and five resource persons namely Dr. D.K. Mitra from Jamshedpur Cooperative College Jamshedpur, Dr. Abhilash Principal Scientist CSIR-NML Jamshedpur,  Waris S. Imam Principal Al-Kabir Polytechnic Jamshedpur, Dr. P.K.Pani, Finance Officer, Kolhan University Chaibasa and Dr. Mohammad Ashiq. Hassan Department of Mechanical Engineering National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur delivered their views on the respective topics in different dimensions of the topic.

In the Inaugural session, the program was conducted by G. Vijayalakshmi, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Aftab Alam Khan,Organising Secretary of the Workshop while the Valedictory Session was conducted by Dr. Zahid Perwaiz and Vote of thanks given by Dr. Md. Tufail Ahmad.  In the end Dr. Md. Moazzam Nazri Convenor of the workshop presented the report of the workshop.

Dr. Mohammad   Zakaria, Secretary Karim City College and Director of Education Karim’s Trust Jamshedpur and Principal, Dr. Mohammad Reyaz ,Karim City College played a pivotal role in the success of the program.

Dr.Aley Ali, Dr.Neha Tiwari , Dr. Md. Moiz Ashraf, Dr. G. Vijayalakshmi, Dr. Shahid Hashmi, , Dr. Shashi Prabha, Dr. S. Chakraborty, Dr. S. Zahid Perwaiz, Dr. Rashmi Akhtar, Dr. Aftab Alam, Dr. Asghar Khan,   Rashid Iqubal Ansari , Mahfoozul  Haque , Sajeed,  Jawed and other faculty members and non teaching staff  contributed actively and played an important role towards making the program a success .
