Jamshedpur: Gulmohur High School organized a “Smart Digital Citizenship Programme” as part of the Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP 2.0) framework. The initiative focused on digital literacy and equipped students with the skills to navigate the 21st-century online landscape safely.

Focus on Privacy and Online Safety
The program addressed essential components of digital life, including online privacy, password security, and the identification of scams. Participants explored how digital platforms collect personal data and discussed sensitive topics like online grooming and digital footprints. Through experiential learning modules and real-life scenarios, students practiced critical thinking and responsible decision-making.
Peer-Led Learning and Collaboration
Educators Vipul Kumar and Sumeet Sen facilitated the sessions alongside a student team comprising Akshat Sarkar, Saharsh Kumar, Amrit Kumar Singh, Aradhya Abhigyan, Adarsh Kumar, and Aarush. Peer-led activities—such as the Password Lab and Fraud Radar—made the content relatable for the 85 students and 17 teachers in attendance.
The event drew representatives from 16 English medium schools and one Hindi medium school. TEEP plans to conduct the same session online for its out-station member schools to ensure wider reach.
Leadership Perspective
Principal Priti Sinha emphasized the importance of digital wisdom over simple technical skill. “This initiative empowers our learners to think before they click and act with responsibility in every digital space,” she noted. The school continues to collaborate with TEEP to develop learners who are both confident technology users and responsible digital citizens.
