Jamshedpur, Oct 29: Local residents, with the help of builder Dayal City workers cleaned roads leading to the Chhath Ghat at Govindpur and ensured that all possible services for devotees were arranged for. Lalan Singh, a local social worker with the help of Govindpur residents and staff of Dayal City builder saw to the completion of roads leading to the embankment of Chhath Talab in the locality. Social worker The residents of Dayal City and the builder’s staff members under the supervision of social activist of the area, Lalan Sah, completed the work of preparing the banks of Chhath Talab for the comfort of devotees while offering prayers to the Sun God on Sunday, October 30 evening and Monday, October 31 dawn.
Social workers Roshan Jha, Manoj Das, Mantu Singh and others joined in to prepare the Ghats at the Chhath Talab.
Artificial water bodies for Chhat devotees at Govindpur
Jamshedpur, Oct 29: Zila Parishad member Dr Paritosh Singh took the initiative to construct temporary water bodies for Chhath devotees to offer prayers at various Ghats in Govindpur. The water bodies were laid at Govardhan Park, Veer Shivaji Park, Karpuri Park, Teen Talla Chowk and Putul Maidan by pressing into service of JCB and tractors. Tankers were providing water for filling the temporary water bodies that were made with the efforts of Dr Paritosh Singh from his personal expenses. The entire areas were cleaned and sprayed with bleaching powder. The roads leading to the banks were laid with slag provided by Tata Steel.
