Blood donation camp at Jamshedpur Head Post Office, staffer donates for 60th time

Jamshedpur: A voluntary blood donation camp organized by the Department of Posts at the Jamshedpur Head Post Office concluded, witnessing enthusiastic participation from postal employees and local residents on Sunday. The event highlighted the spirit of social service, with a large number of donors coming forward to contribute.

The camp was inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Udaybhan Singh, who emphasized the importance of blood donation, describing it as one of the greatest acts of humanity because it helps save lives. He said the Department of Posts has always remained committed to public welfare, and the camp reflected that dedication.

One of the major highlights of the event was the contribution of regular blood donors among the postal staff. Chandi Charan Sadhu, an LSG Postal Assistant posted at Chakulia, completed his 60th blood donation during the camp. His remarkable achievement inspired many young participants and reinforced the importance of voluntary blood donation.

Following the successful conclusion of the camp, Senior Superintendent Udaybhan Singh and Braj Bhushan Jha thanked all blood donors, the medical team, and members of the Voluntary Blood Donors Association (VBDA) for their valuable support in making the event a success.
