Jamshedpur: City police claimed to have achieved a breakthrough in detecting three incidents of theft in Sonari by arresting four persons including two juveniles and recovering the stolen goods.
According to SP City Prabhat Kumar, a team led by DSP Headquarters II Arvind Kumar, arrested Amit Paswan alias Doctor from Jahera Basti in Sonari on the basis of a tip-off. Soon, acting on further investigation, the team nabbed Sandip Kumar Rijel Kshetri, also a Sonari resident. Two minor boys were also held by the cops on the information of Paswan and Kshetri, said the SP.
The accused persons had stolen jewelry, induction stove, fan, bulbs and taps from the house of one Vijay Kumar, a resident of Chandrajyoti Nagar, Sonari, on 15th September last. They also stole cash and jewelry from the house of Dilip Sarkar on 28th September.
On 1st October, the accused persons stole an LED TV, two mobile phones, one tablet, jewelry, wrist watches and one induction stove from the house of Binodini Mui from Extension Road Number 7 in Sonari.
The SP said an investigation was on to identify other members of the gang.
