Jamshedpur: The Durgadas Dutta Memorial Trust, in collaboration with the Jawed Habib team, celebrated Diwali with the elderly residents of the Sakchi Baradwari Old Age Home. As part of the celebration, the Jawed Habib team offered free salon services to all the residents, including haircuts, shaving, facials, coloring, and nail care. Following the services, the elderly were treated to a festive meal and sweets, and they enjoyed bursting firecrackers to mark the occasion.

The residents expressed heartfelt gratitude for the love, attention, and hospitality shown to them. The event brought visible joy, with many celebrating Diwali with the excitement and happiness of children. Dr. Shazia Parveen, Director of Jawed Habib Salon, noted that the team has been celebrating Diwali at the Old Age Home for the past four years, providing free services and cherishing the memorable time spent with the elderly.
Sourav Dutta, President of the Durgadas Dutta Memorial Trust, said that the organization regularly engages with the Old Age Home and emphasizes providing companionship and love, not just sympathy. He added that many of the residents recognize the team by name, which motivates them to continue serving the community.
Those present on the occasion included Dr. Shazia Parveen, Sourav Dutta, Shahzad Qureshi, Pushpanjali, Pooja Kumari, Neha Parveen, Manoj Sharma, Rishi Pramanik, Vishnu Pramanik, and Amjad Khan. The celebration highlighted the spirit of giving, warmth, and community during the festival of lights.
