ERUDITE 2.0 at Manipal Tata Medical College highlights innovation and research in medicine

Jamshedpur, Oct 12: Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) hosted ERUDITE 2.0, a National Level Conference for undergraduate medical students, on October 11, 2025, at its campus. The event brought together 260 medical students from 10 institutions across India, including VSS Institute of Medical Science and Research, MGM Medical College and Hospital, Kalinga Institute of Medical Science, IMS and SUM Hospital, Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital, AIIMS Deoghar, and Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College.

The conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker Dr. Shankar M. Bakkannavar, Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Dr. Bakkannavar, along with the Dean, Director, Head of UG Research Vertical, Chief Advisor, and President of the Student Research Forum (SRF).

The President of SRF welcomed all delegates and dignitaries, followed by the Vice President’s presentation of the Annual Event Report, highlighting the conference’s goals and vision. The Joint Secretary of SRF officially declared ERUDITE 2.0 open, marking the start of the academic sessions.

In his address, the Dean In Charge emphasized the importance of medical research and the growing role of ERUDITE as a collaborative learning platform. Dr. Bakkannavar, in his keynote speech, discussed the critical role of medical research in improving healthcare outcomes.

Over two days, the conference featured clinical case presentations, paper and poster sessions, symposiums, workshops, and a medical quiz. Participants from AIIMS Deoghar and MTMC emerged as winners in various events. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all organizers and participants.
