Railway Pilot Murder: Vicitm was Transferred to Tatanagar 3 Months Ago

 Jamshedpur:

GK Gautam, a railway loco pilot, was shot dead on the night of April 26, in the Bagbera area of Jamshedpur. The attack took place on the road directly in front of the Railway Crew Lobby, leading to immediate panic among railway employees.

Key Details:

  • Victim’s Background: Gautam had recently been transferred from Danguwaposi to Tatanagar about three months ago. While he was working in Jamshedpur, his wife and two children lived in the nearby Adityapur area.
  • Investigation: The Bagbera police have registered a case and are currently scanning CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify and track down the perpetrators. Raids have been conducted since the night of the incident.
  • Motive: Authorities are investigating multiple angles, including potential business rivalries or personal disputes.
  • Family Reaction: Upon hearing the news, Gautam’s father and brother are traveling from Munger to Jamshedpur to assist with the formalities and further the investigation.
