Officials inspect control rooms ahead of Ghatsila by-polls

Jamshedpur, Oct 12: In a proactive move to ensure a smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of the Ghatsila assembly by-election 2025, District Election Officer Karn Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey today conducted an extensive inspection of the District Control Room, C-Vigil Control Room, and the MCMC (Media Certification and Monitoring Committee) unit.

During the visit, senior officials reviewed the process of registering and promptly addressing election-related complaints received at the control room.

They emphasized that any complaint or information received should be acted upon immediately, with timely reports submitted by the concerned officers.

While evaluating the C-Vigil Control Room, the officers stressed that complaints submitted via the C-Vigil mobile app must be taken seriously, verified promptly, and appropriate action reported without delay.

Awareness drives were also urged to encourage citizens to use the app for reporting violations of the model code of conduct.

At the MCMC unit, the Deputy Commissioner instructed strict monitoring of all political content across print, electronic, and social media platforms.

He highlighted that no political advertisement should be published or broadcast without prior certification.

Proper maintenance of records related to complaints and approvals was also mandated.
