Election of Deputy Mukhiyas of Jamshedpur Sadar from June 18

Jamshedpur, June 16: The election of Deputy Mukhiyas in the 55 Panchayaqts of Jugsalai-cum-Golmuri block (Jamshedpur Sadar) will take place from 18^th June to 29^th June, officials said on Thursday.

Sources said there are a total of 711 Ward members in Jugsalai-cum-Golmuri block. Out of these, 299 Ward members have been elected unopposed while 277 have secured win through tough contest. There are 135 posts lying vacant, sources said.

Sources said all Ward members are submitting details of income and expenses of their respective panchayats. The last date for submission of details is 17^th June. The process of election of Deputy Mukhiya will start thereafter. Letters and necessary instructions have been issued in this regard to the Secretaries of all Panchayats, sources said.
