Jamshedpur, Jan 16: The Kevant Samaj Welfare Association celebrated the 49th birth anniversary of Bhakt Guha Nishad, a revered figure in Indian history and a close ally of Lord Rama, at CP Samaj Bagunahatu. The event featured cultural programs, awards and calls for societal progress through education.
MLA Purnima Sahu, the chief guest, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp alongside BJP leader Dinesh Kumar. “The youth are the future of our society,” said Sahu. “If they are educated and empowered, progress will follow naturally.”
Dinesh Kumar recounted stories of Lord Rama’s friendship with Guha Nishad, emphasizing the values of loyalty and unity. “Lord Rama’s bond with Guha Nishad Raj is a testament to enduring friendships that transcend barriers,” he remarked.
Society President Suresh Nishad submitted a request to the MLA for the construction of a community building to support their activities. In response, Sahu assured her commitment to the community’s development and encouraged youth participation in education and leadership.
The event included cultural performances by children, which captivated the audience. Outstanding students were also recognized and rewarded for their academic achievements. Hundreds of attendees, including men and women from the community, received prasad and participated enthusiastically in the celebrations.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mahesh Nishad, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and attendees for their support in making the event a success.
