Ranchi, July 4: Reviewing the implementation of schemes in financial year 2016-17, chief secretary Rajbala Verma directed all the departments to prepare the DPRs fast. She said that all districts should have collectorate and subdivision-offices should be built on priority basis.
She directed the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department to make the rural water supply scheme solar based and, at the same time, it should be ensured that the proposed areas have ample solar energy.
Out of 19 block headquarters, which are proposed to be connected with pipeline drinking water scheme, implementation in five blocks has been started, DPRs are being made for 11 and two are being surveyed.
Reviewing the activities of the Health Department, the chief secretary said that the implementation process of giving health packages to aboriginal people should be sped up to benefit the remote dwellers.
Verma said that proposed medical colleges should be reviewed in details so that the related department can coordinate with Government of India. In the light of proposed hospitals in the state, she said that a combined package should be prepared so that all hospitals should be constructed on a specific model.
Regarding initiating palliative care facility, it was directed that NGO members should be trained and tagged with skill development program and old people should be given nursing service at their home.
The CS directed the PDS to prepare a work plan to acquire paddy and connect packs and NGO. She also directed to prepare a profile of capacity of mills and their productivity and blacklist the defaulters. She laid stress to train the CDPOs for making the state malnutrition-free.
While reviewing the work of the Building Construction Department, the CS directed to select plots to build houses to sort out residential problems and promote tourism of the state.
She said that the�Road Construction Department should start construction work of Bhairavi Bridge and expression of interest should be floated to install the statue of Swami Vivekanand and�Bada Talab. She also directed to review KPMG and connect maximum youth professionals with it to promote tourism.
While reviewing the functioning of the Home Department, Verma said that DPR has been prepared for CCTV surveillance in Ranchi and the department should start working on preparing DPRs to install CCTV surveillance at Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and other cities. It was also directed to build new smart police stations in Naxal-affected areas.
Development commissioner-cum-additional chief secretary Amit Khare said that in the current financial year, 15.06 percent fund has been expensed in comparison to 9.07 percent in 2015-16.
Principal secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department A. P. Singh, principal secretary, Social Welfare Department M. S. Bhatia, IG R. K. Mullick, secretary, Road Construction Department M. R. Meena, secretary, Building Construction Department K.K. Son, PDS secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey and other departmental officers were present in the meeting. �����
