Jamshedpur, July 4: Two construction workers were seriously injured as a portion of the under-construction house where they were working collapsed on Monday morning.
The incident took place at Cross Road No- 11 of Old Purulia Road in Jawaharnagar under Azadnagar police station area in Mango.
Those injured were identified as Harul Sheikh (24) and Babar Sheikh (25), both residents of Kapali in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
The owner of the house, Anwar Alam, who was present on the spot, rescued the two injured and rushed them to the emergency department of the MGM Medical College and Hospital.
However, as the condition of the two was serious, Alam shifted them to the Tata Main Hospital on the advice of the doctors on the emergency duty at the medical college hospital.
Harul Sheikh, who was admitted at the neurological department at the Tata Main Hospital, is not in a position to speak. Babar Sheikh said they were engaged in building construction and putting bricks on the wall as it suddenly came crashed toward him, resulting in the injuries.
Officer in-charge of Azadnagar police station, Anjani Kumar Singh said that they are aware of the wall collapse incident at an under-construction house on Old Purulia Road.
