Jamshedpur’s KSMS Sets Strict Safety and Green Rules for Student Transport

Jamshedpur: Kerala Samajam Model School conducted a meeting with the vehicle owners and operators engaged in transporting students to and from school. The meeting aimed to reinforce the importance of student safety and promote the school’s commitment to environmentally responsible practices.

The Principal, Rina Banerjee, and the Vice Principal, A. L. Abraham, presided over the meeting and apprised the operators of the school’s expectations in line with the directives issued by the District Education Officer-cum-District Program Officer, Jharkhand Education Project, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur, and the school’s Green Policy.

The operators were reminded to ensure that their vehicles possess all mandatory documents, are maintained in roadworthy condition, have safety grills on the windows, carry only the permissible number of students, and possess valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates.

The school emphasized the shared responsibility of ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their daily commute. The operators were also encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute towards reducing vehicular pollution, thereby supporting the school’s commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.
