Cockroach Janta Party Founder Abhijeet Dipke Leads Massive Student Protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar

New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke launched a massive demonstration at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar immediately after returning to India this morning. A large crowd of youth and students flooded the site, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over recent examination leaks and recruitment irregularities.

Under heavy security monitoring, hundreds of young professionals, school children, and parents packed the protest venue, with many participants wearing cockroach masks and holding flowers.

Sonam Wangchuk Joins CJP Protest

Renowned climate activist and innovator Sonam Wangchuk joined the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) massive demonstration at Jantar Mantar today. Carrying a single rose, Wangchuk stood alongside CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and hundreds of protesting students to show solidarity with their demands for education reform.

By carrying a flower, Wangchuk mirrored the tactics of the young protesters, who are blending silent, symbolic resistance with active chanting to press the government for systemic accountability, student mental health support, and fair competitive exams.

Clashing with Authorities Over Online Suppression

During his address, Dipke highlighted the digital friction leading up to the physical rally.

“My friends, this is a long struggle,” Dipke told the gathering. “We started demanding Pradhan’s resignation on social media a month ago. Instead of taking action, these individuals focused on distractions like hacking our accounts and deleting our posts. You may delete our posts, but you cannot erase us from this space.”

The demonstrators actively chanted slogans including “Dharmendra Pradhan must resign,” “Dharmendra Pradhan, resign!”, and “Jai Bhim.”

Core Demands of the Protesters

Beyond the immediate call for the Education Minister’s resignation, the CJP-led crowd outlined several systemic demands regarding India’s current education infrastructure:

  • Fairness in Competitive Exams: Relatives of affected students highlighted the immense mental toll on candidates following the NEET paper leak, demanding restored credibility for national examinations.
  • Systemic Accountability and Mental Health Support: Mental health professionals at the site urged the government to take responsibility for the intense psychological pressure and rising suicide rates among stressed students.
  • Restoring Education in Manipur: Activists from the region demanded emergency intervention to restore normalcy to schools and colleges disrupted by three years of ongoing unrest in Manipur.
  • Prerequisites for Digitalization: Parents argued that the government must thoroughly assess digital initiatives—like the CBSE’s on-screen marking system—and properly train educators before replacing traditional methods, citing concerns over systemic loopholes.
  • Focus on Grassroots Realities: Participants noted that the movement successfully translated online momentum into physical action by addressing the everyday anxieties shared by both students and parents.
