Jamshedpur: People had to face traffic jams at various places for several hours on both days of the festival. Police machinery failed to remove the jam. Hundreds of vehicles carrying the devotees were caught in the snarl-up for hours. The traffic jam was seen at Mango, Dimna Road, Adityapur, Bhuiyandih and Sakchi. Many people alleged that their calls were not received by several district administration officials. Recently, district administration had issued phone numbers for helping the citizens during Chhath puja. Police officials had also reportedly stopped all vehicles near Old Court at Sakchi and MGM Hospital Chowk.
