Jamshedpur, May 15: The dead body of a person named Temir Sabar of Maurabandhi village of Sardiha panchayat of Chakulia block, adjacent to West Bengal border, was found in the Godrashol forest of Gidhani range of West Bengal on Monday morning.
According to the information, a wild elephant in the forest toppled him to death.
Jambani police has taken the dead body in possession and sent it for postmortem.
According to the villagers, Timir Sabar had gone to the forest two days back to fetch wood. Since then he did not return. On Monday morning, his dead body was found in the middle of the forest situated on the side of the road going from Maurabandhi to Godrashol in Bengal.
Sardiha head Dangi Soren told that the Jambani police has sent Temir Sabar’s body to Jhargram for postmortem. After the postmortem, the dead body will be brought to the village on Tuesday.
