Jamshedpur, May 23: Â In a distressing incident on Thursday morning, criminals carried out a chain snatching from an elderly woman in Agrico, within the jurisdiction of the Sidhgora police station. Despite immediate attempts to alert the authorities, the police did not respond, allowing the perpetrators to escape without consequence.
The incident occurred around 6 am when the 60-year-old wife of Byasdev Tiwari, a resident of Agrico Shiv Singh Bagan, was returning home after her morning walk. A criminal approached her on foot, snatched her gold chain, and fled the scene with an accomplice waiting on a bike.
Efforts to contact the Sidhgora police station and its in-charge following the incident were unsuccessful, leaving local residents dismayed by the apparent indifference of the police. However, the entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area, providing clear footage of the criminals in action from two different angles.
