Jamshedpur, May 23: On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, the Bodhi Society in Sakchi, Jamshedpur, organized a large-scale free health check-up camp at the Buddha Temple. The camp was inaugurated by Bhante Gyanjyoti Mahathero and aimed to promote health awareness and provide medical assistance to the community.
The camp saw the participation of renowned medical professionals including Cardiologist Dr. Mukesh Kumar and General Physician Dr. Shubhashish Dey, who examined the health of over 150 individuals. Various health parameters such as blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, ECG, and BMI were tested free of cost.
Dr. Mukesh Kumar emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups, particularly for individuals above the age of 40. He highlighted that early detection of any changes or diseases in the body can significantly improve treatment outcomes. Dr. Kumar also addressed the evolving nature of diseases, with a growing prevalence of heart and cancer-related illnesses. He stressed the significance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, engaging in regular physical activity, and maintaining good eating habits to mitigate the risk of such diseases.
