Canvas India Trade Fair to open tomorrow, entry price Rs 20

Jamshedpur, Oct 2: With Durga puja round the corner, City�s most awaited trade fair is back. �Canvas India-2015� organised by Concern (India) Shows Private Ltd and promoted by Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will kick off on Saturday, October 3 at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.

The fair will be officially inaugurated by former CM Arjun Munda and Jamshedpur MP Vidhut Varan Mahato on Sunday, October 4.

312 companies from various sectors including Automobile, Electronics, Appliances, IT, Institute & Banking, Builder & Industrial, Furniture and Handicrafts will participate in the fair from 3-12 October, said Jyoti Pandey Managing Director of Canvas India addressing a press conference at Gopal Maidan on Friday.

Pandey further informed, 525 stalls will be put up at the fair which includes several international and national brands and manufacturers.

They are offering new products and products together with attractive discounts and offers. He said that big brands will come all the way to woo the customers.

From consumer electronics to apparels maker almost all the major players are participating in the fair and would come up with attractive offers. Over the years �Canvas India has become the favourite destination of the buyers.

�Handicraft is the new added sector to the existing list in order to promote rural art and help villagers become self reliant, we are expecting more footfall this year as around 2 lakh people visited the fair in 2014�, added Pandey. The shopping carnival will see several food festivals and cultural programs over a period of 10-days.

SCCI President Suresh Sonthalia said, Canvas has become a brand in the Eastern part of India and as companies have started giving bonus to the employees the market situation which is facing slowdown will definitely improve.

Canvas India fair has always provided platform to the small entrepreneurs and handicraft sector added to the trade fair it will boost up the rural industry. Brands like Banarsi Silk, Ramsay Chocolates, Jaipur Crafts & Artisians, Jaipuri Pickle, Patiala Footware, C.P Khaitan Churan and others will be part of the fair.

The fair will also have Entry fees were every visitors will have dole out Rs 20 to enter the fair and enjoy the evening.

Moreover adequate security arrangements have also been made to ensure the peaceful environment
