Jamshedpur, Oct 2: On the occasion of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Rotary District 3250 in order to create mass awareness organized Mega Cycle Rally all over the District on Friday, October 2 with the slogan�Save Fuel Save Environment.
Cycle symbolizes motion with its wheels, it symbolizes speed without burning oil, it symbolizes health with burning of Fat. In Patna, District Governor Bindu Singh herself lead from the front & took part in the rally.
In Jamshedpur, all 8 Rotary Clubs of the city�Rotary Club of Jamshedpur, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur East, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Dalma, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Mid Town, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Couples—took part in Cycle rally in the entire District.
D.G Elect Dr Bharat Flagged of the Rally of approximate 500 members which included Rotarians from all clubs, Rotary spouses, Rotary let, Exchange student, Intetactors & Rotaractors & Moderators. Those who could not ride bicycle, joined rally by foot to show the solidarity and support the cause.
The rally started at 7.30am from Loyola Ground & ended at Gopal Maidan�covering an area of 1 kilometer�at the heart of the city to make the impact most effective.
Cyclists and Rotarians / spouses on foot were holding the placards depicting various slogans promoting awareness on Save Environment. All safety & medical precautions were taken keeping in mind the health & safety of people who took part in rally.
