Sakchi Gurdwara Constitution Upheld; Nishan Singh to Continue as Head

Jamshedpur: Sardar Nishan Singh, President of the Sakchi Gurdwara Management Committee, declared a victory for truth and the Gurdwara’s constitution following a significant ruling by the Jharkhand High Court. He confirmed that he remains the chief sevadar (head) of the Sakchi Gurdwara.

On Wednesday, Sardar Nishan Singh and senior advocate of the Jamshedpur Court, KM Singh, held a joint press conference to clarify the situation. They alleged that opponents had circulated misleading information to confuse the public by falsely claiming the court had ordered fresh elections.

High Court Findings

Senior Advocate KM Singh clarified the ruling delivered by the single bench of Justice Anand Sen. The court noted the following:

  • Elections Completed: Referencing an affidavit filed in July 2025, the court found that the election process in question had already concluded.

  • No Pending Issues: Since the elections were already held, the court stated there was no remaining issue to be considered in the writ petition.

  • Legal Recourse: The court remarked that if any individual remains dissatisfied with the election results, they are free to approach a competent Civil Court as per the law.

Closure of the Dispute

With the High Court’s decision, the leadership dispute has effectively ended, confirming Sardar Nishan Singh’s tenure as President. The legal team representing the Sakchi Gurdwara Management Committee in the High Court included senior advocates Ayush Aditya, Praveen Shankar Dayal, Manish Kumar, Krishna Murari Singh, and Avinash Prakhar.
