BJYM stages dharna against spurt in crime

Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM), Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit, took to the street on Sunday to protest against the spurt in crime in the city. The outfit members burnt the effigy of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and staged a demonstration at Sakchi Chowk to condemn recent crimes.

Demanding measures by the state government to improve the situation, the protestors said the city people were feeling insecure due to the rise in crimes like loot, murder, snatching, theft and violence at public places.

Daily newspapers are full of crime news which speaks volumes of the current law and order situation in the city.

District police have failed to control crime on most occasions. This has compelled us to come out and register protest against the miserable law and order situation, said one of the protestors.
