Jamshedpur, April 19: Two students of Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU)—Saritam Bobonga and Yogsha Sarkar—have successfully cleared the voice audition for Akashvani Jamshedpur’s popular ‘Yuvvani’ programme. The achievement came after their training in a one-year certificate course on “The Art of Speaking and Presentation Skills.”
The audition for ‘Yuvvani’ is known for its strict standards, but both students managed to qualify with the help of structured training provided under the course. The programme focuses on voice culture and performance communication, helping students develop confidence and professional speaking skills.
As part of the course, students receive practical training in areas such as correct pronunciation, voice modulation, public speaking, stage anchoring, and live sports commentary. They are also trained in radio-related skills, including news reading, reporting, acting in radio plays, and programme production.
During the training, the students produced and presented a special segment titled “Chhaya Geet,” based on film music, which received appreciation.
University officials said the success reflects both the hard work of the students and the institution’s focus on skill-based education. The course aims to prepare students for careers in media, radio, and communication by providing hands-on experience and professional guidance.
