Awareness chariot flagged off for Dharti Aaba Public Participation Campaign

Jamshedpur: The Dharti Aaba Public Participation Campaign, aimed at ensuring the last-mile delivery of public welfare schemes to tribal and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) communities, was formally launched in East Singhbhum district on Saturday. The campaign will be conducted across the district from June 15 to 30.

To mark the beginning of this extensive outreach initiative, an awareness chariot was jointly flagged off from the Collectorate premises by Jamshedpur MP  Bidyut Baran Mahto, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India,  Brijnandan Prasad, Deputy Commissioner  Karna Satyarthi, and Senior Superintendent of Police  Piyush Pandey.

Present on the occasion were Project Director, ITDA  Dipankar Chaudhary, Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer Shatabdi Majumdar, District Welfare Officer  Shankaracharya Samad, District Public Relations Officer  Panchanan Oraon, and officials from various departments.

Joint Secretary  Brijnandan Prasad lauded the initiative, stating that it aligns with the Central Government’s commitment to holistic development of tribal communities through grassroots participation.

Deputy Commissioner  Karn Satyarthi informed that special camps will be organized in tribal-dominated villages across the district. These camps will facilitate direct linkage of eligible beneficiaries to various schemes such as Aadhaar card registration, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM National Dialysis Program, and PM Awas Yojana, among others.

Project Director ITDA  Dipankar Chaudhary informed that awareness chariots have been dispatched to tribal-dominated areas to spread information about the upcoming village-level camps. Over 275 camps will be organized during the campaign period, ensuring participation from all concerned departments for on-the-spot registration and benefit distribution.
