Jamshedpur, July 2: An attempt to rob finance company employee Rohit Sharma occurred near Zakir Nagar Road No. 10 on Old Purulia Road under Azadnagar police station in Mango on Tuesday afternoon. Rohit filed a written complaint regarding the incident at the Azadnagar police station, prompting an investigation by the police.
According to Rohit’s account, he was originally from Ghatsila and currently worked for a finance company located on Dimna Road. He was on Old Purulia Road for some work at 2 PM on Tuesday, carrying Rs 1.30 lakh meant for loan distribution to a women’s group. While near Road No. 10, three masked criminals on a bike attempted to rob him by brandishing weapons. Rohit managed to evade them by speeding up his bike, and the miscreants chased him for a considerable distance before disappearing from sight.
